Fresh Seafood from the Pembrokeshire Coast
Surrounded by some of Wales’ most beautiful coastline, Pembrokeshire is home to an abundance of exceptional seafood. At Blas, we are proud to work with local fishermen who bring the flavours of the sea directly to our kitchen. Our Solva crab and lobster, caught just along the coast by fisherman Jono, reflect the connection between our restaurant and the landscape that surrounds us, with each delivery offering a true taste of Pembrokeshire’s waters.
From the Waters of Solva
Just a few miles from Blas Restaurant, the waters surrounding Solva are home to some of Pembrokeshire’s finest seafood. Our crab and lobster are supplied by local fisherman Jono, whose knowledge of these coastal waters and commitment to sustainable fishing ensure every catch reflects the quality of our local coastline. Working with a local supplier allows us to celebrate the exceptional seafood found right on our doorstep while supporting the area’s fishing heritage.
Guided by the Sea
Jono catches both brown crab and native lobster from the waters off the Pembrokeshire coast. As with all wild seafood, availability is determined by nature, meaning our deliveries depend entirely on what the sea provides. Rather than sourcing to a schedule, we work with the rhythm of the seasons and the day’s catch, ensuring every delivery arrives at its freshest.
From Catch to Plate
Once delivered to Blas, each crab and lobster is carefully prepared by our chefs before appearing on our lunch and dinner menus. We take a simple approach, allowing the naturally sweet, delicate flavour of the seafood to shine. As availability changes throughout the year, so too do our dishes, making each plate a true reflection of the Pembrokeshire coastline and the exceptional produce landed that day.
